Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) have joined the search for the missing crewman of a container vessel.
A 25-year old Ukrainian man went missing from the foreign vessel while traveling off Galle, Sri Lanka.
Coastguard said the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center received reports of the missing man on Monday. The man went missing on the afternoon of November 23.
The boat was travelling 70 nautical miles west off Galle and 322 nautical miles northeast off Maldives when the man went missing.
