Two people have been injured after part of the jetty designated for fishing at Rasfannu Westpark area gave away.
Police said they received reports that two people had suffered a fall after part of the fishing pier at Westpark area gave away.
The incident occurred when two out of the four blocks of the jetty broke. One person suffered a cut to the sole of the feet, however, the injuries are not serious, said the police.
Information of the incident have been shared with the Male' City Council, and the area has been closed off for the safety of the citizens, said the police.
