The MNDF Coast Guard has said that the missing man is still not found. The man went missing in the accident that occurred colliding a speed boat and a dingy in the early evening of Thursday.
The Coast Guard’s Principal Director, Lieutenant Ahmed Mujthaba Mohamed said in a news conference held today that the search is ongoing via underwater, over the water, and through airways. In that regard, they have been diving, searching though a remotely operated under water vehicle as well as three vehicles are over the water searching for the missing man.
In addition, through a helicopter, they have been searching 120 nautical miles. They are having difficulty in locating the man since it is unknown the exact location the accident happened, said Mujthaba.
They have found some tools that seem to belong to a dingy however, they are not sure if it is from the missing dingy. He further said that it is hoped that the man and dingy will be found when they conclude the operation.
The missing man is 41-year-old Nasrullah Abdullah, Musthareeg’ from B.Eydhafushi.
