A van and a motorcycle were involved in a collision on Laamu atoll link road on Sunday, injuring two.
Police said they received reports of the accident this morning around 9:20 am, and that the incident occurred when the van collided with the motorcycle while swerving to turn around.
While the motorist and the passenger of the motorcycle sustained injuries in the accident, both people were taken to L. Gan Regional Hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not serious, said the police. Both the van and the motorcycle are damaged in the collision.
The van was being driven by a 53 year old man, while the motorcycle was being driven by a 25 year old man. Both drivers possessed driving licences.
The police are investigating the case further.
