The ICOM urged to share information

The Information Commissioner’s Office has urged to share information on the work done to provide information under the Right to Information Act.

As per the ICOM’s circular which was sent to government offices, the main purpose of the Right to Information Act is to ensure the right to information is adhered to by the government offices.

As stated in the Section (a) of Article 4 of the Act, to ensure the right to information are applicable for each and every person that seeks it, it is essential for the government authorities to share the actions taken on such requests with ICOM, said ICOM.

It further pressed to share such information with ICOM within 10 days of responding to the information seeker/seekers.
