The first Maldivian resort of the year, 'Brennia Kottefaru' has been opened.
Brennia Kottefaru was unofficially opened on Wednesday, however tourists will be arriving at the resort today. They are set to open officially within the month of March.
While the resort has been fully developed and opened up to tourists - Brennia Kottefaru - developed in R. Atoll Kottefaru will officially be complete within March, said a Senior Official at the resort.
"The resort will be complete by March, and will serve as one of the Maldives' most unique resorts", the official said.
Brennia Kotterfaru Resort is one that will be operated under a Maldivian owner and management. The resort consists Villas of twenty categories, making up to a total of 190 Villas. This ranges from Beach Villas and Water Villas, to Garden Villas. In addition, the resort is inclusive of numerous employee facilities as well.
One major distinction of the resort is the island's focus on nature and culture. As such, they even host an art gallery showcasing Maldivian culture in over 1,000 of our artists' work.
They further operate gyms, spas, and restaurants offering various cuisines from all around the world. The eighteen room 'Spa Village' established on the island is the first of its kind.
