The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is probing a disciplinary case against Civil Court judge Ali Naseer.
The decision to investigate the judge's actions was made at a commission sitting held Wednesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, the commission had reached the decision to investigate the Chief Judge of the Civil Court, Abdulla Ali. JSC had previously investigated the judge on July 24, 2019.
With recent changes to the JSC, the judicial watchdog has been looking into the actions of several judges and taking appropriate action. While the commission has sought the dismissal of several judges through the parliament, many judges have been removed from courts in this manner, including four judges of the apex court.
