The 2nd Secretary of Maldives High Commission in Sri Lanka, Ibrahim Asif passes away. He served Maldives foreign affairs for more than 29 years.
Asif passed away precipitously on late Sunday night. On his demise, the foreign minister Abdulla Shahid sent condolences to Asif's wife and the family.
“Grieved by the untimely demise of Ibrahim Asif, 2nd Secretary of Maldives High Commission, Colombo. A committed foreign service officer for 29 years. A compassionate & caring member of #TeamKhaarijee. Thoughts & prayers are with his family. May Allah SWT grant him Jannah! Aameen”, foreign minister Abdulla Shahid.
The minister called Asif’s wife and his brother to express his deep sympathy for the family and expressed his grief on the untimely death of Asif.
