A speedboat travelling from capital city Male’ to Thaa Atoll ran aground on a reef near Felidhoo island of Vaavu atoll.
According to Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), a speedboat “Legion 7” travelling to Thaa atoll with 18 people onboard ran aground on a reef 10 nautical miles away from Felidhoo on Wednesday morning.
No persons were injured in the incident. MNDF said a sea ambulance was mobilized to assist the people aboard the vessel.
