A team of medical experts from neighbouring India have arrived in the Maldives to assist the archipelago in managing the current COVID-19 outbreak.
The team includes anesthesiologists and respiratory doctors as well as physicians and laboratory technicians.
The team on Friday met with Health Minister Abdulla Ameen.
The Indian High Commission in Maldives had earlier revealed that a special team will be sent to the Maldives, and that medication required to treat the virus will be donated to the Maldives.
