Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has stated that they are searching for a fishing vessel with five people on board that has been missing.
MNDF has said the Coast Guard Marine Rescue Section received a report around 15:20 on Wednesday of the missing fishing vessel “Almas”, that went for reef fishing. The last location of the boat was known to be at the lagoon area of Vaavu Atoll, on Sunday around 09:50 hours.
The vessel is 35 feet, painted with green with a red stripe and with a white shed, said MNDF.
MNDF has requested to assist in getting information about the Dhoni and provide any information that the public might have regarding the Dhoni.
