City Council collects info on garbage filled abandoned buildings

Male’ City Council has collected information on abandoned houses in the capital under efforts to clean the mainland of the capital Male’ city as a preventive measure against COVID-19.

According to Male’ City Council, a list was prepared last week of locations where garbage is dumped across the Male’.

In that regard, the City Council said they identified 68 such places including buildings where construction work has been halted for extended periods of time. Worked is being carried out to identify the owners of such buildings, after which they will be asked to remove the garbage at the locations.

As a measure to protect against COVID-19, the City Council recently disinfected the streets of Male’. A curfew has been declared from 1700 to 2000 hours every day in the Male’ region including the suburbs Villimale’ and Hulhumale’.
