Maldives National Cadet Corps (MNCC) has called on its former members to register with the organisation to act as volunteers for COVID-19 safety operations.
According to MNCC, cadet and band members registered after 1995, and who are 18 and above of age can sign on as volunteers.
Several authorities and organizations have been calling for the services of former employees or members to work in various operations related to COVID-19 pandemic. In that regard, the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) had called upon its former employees to assist them at this critical time. Youth Ministry has also called for volunteers to deliver goods from the shops to the households due to the high pressure on shops following the declaration of lockdown in the capital Male’.
54 cases of COVID-19 have been identified thus far, and the numbers keep increasing day by day.
