Singaporean billionaire donates medical equipment to the Maldives

The founder of HPL, Dato' Ong Beng Seng has donated the Maldives 15 ventilators, and 100,000 masks. The donations have now been handed over to the High Commission of Maldives in Singapore.

The hotel chain that operates Four Season Kuda Hura, Landaa Giraavaru, Gili Lankafushi, Holiday Inn Kandooma, and Six Senses Laamu in Maldives has extended its assistance during a time when the government has expressed the need for ventilators due to the escalation of COVID-19 pandemic in the Maldives.

The government have been working to acquire ventilators through various means. The aid extended by HPL is an important contribution at this crucial time.

The company operates hotel chains in Malaysia, Indonesia, Bhutan, South Africa and Thailand in addition to the Maldives, and has been assisting the country during times of need.
