Public transport services have resumed between Male' and reclaimed suburbs Hulhumale'.
Bus services between Male' and Hulhumale' were suspended in April when Male' city was placed on lockdown due to COVID-19. However, while authorities have relaxed some of the precautionary measures implemented in the city, bus transport has also been resumed under 'new normal' policies and a new schedule.
According to the new schedule publicized by the Greater Male' Transport Link, the first bus will be at 6.30 am and one bus will operate every hour between 7 am and 9 am. A bus will operate every two hours between 12 pm and 9 pm. The last bus will be at 11 pm. A bus traveled between Male' and Hulhumale every 30 minutes before the lockdown was imposed.
Those using bus services are instructed to adhere to HPA guidelines. However, a separate guideline on public transport has not been publicized yet.
