31 more inmates have tested positive for COVID-19 from Hulhumale’ Prison.
A positive case of COVID-19 was first identified in Hulhumale’ Prison on February 1st. 112 samples were collected in connection to the case, out of which 31 samples came back positive. While a total of 32 cases have been identified from the jail thus far, all are inmates.
The Health Protection Agency said the inmates who tested positive have been isolated. Their contacts are in quarantine, said HPA.
