The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded in the Maldives has increased to 40.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) Sunday said a 43 year old Bangladeshi male brought in an unresponsive state to Hulhumale’ Hospital on Sunday morning was declared dead on arrival. The man had tested positive for COVID-19, and is the 40th COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives.
The Maldives has recorded 11,986 positive cases to date.
