The Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC) on Saturday said tests revealed that the young woman who passed away in Hulhumale’ on Friday night had COVID-19.
Maldives Police Service earlier revealed that a 21 year old woman was brought to Hulhumale’ Hospital late Friday, and that she had already passed away by the time she was brought to the hospital. Without giving further details, the police had said the death was being investigated by the police.
It has been reported that the deceased was brought to the hospital by two women. She was buried on Saturday morning.
