COVID-19: Testing arranged for tourists staying on liveaboards

Arrangements have been made to facilitate COVID-19 testing for tourists staying on liveaboard vessels prior to their departure.

National Boating Association of Maldives Tuesday said stakeholders of the tourism sector have been working with the authorities to implement measures specific to the COVID-19 pandemic since the Maldives reopened its borders to tourists on in July.

In this regard, arrangements have been made to collect samples of tourists who depart from liveaboards from Hulhumale, and have been in effect since Monday, said the association. The arrangements were made with the assistance of the Tourism Ministry, Hulhumale Development Corporation, Health Protection Agency and Maldives Police Services.
