The Maldives on Saturday recorded 37 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 19 Maldivians and 18 foreigners. The total number of positive cases is now at 2,187.
HPA also announced 19 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,788. The number of active cases is 389.
40,848 samples have been collected and tested for COVID-19 until now. While 294 people are at isolation facilities, 151 people are at quarantine facilities. The archipelago has recorded 8 COVID-19 related deaths until now.
