Local tests positive for COVID-19 for second time

A Maldivian who recovered from COVID-19 has tested positive for the virus once again.

The local was declared as recovered from COVID-19 after testing negative for the virus twice. He then traveled to neighbouring India accompanying a patient traveling for medical reasons. He was tested for the virus in India, and the result came back positive.

This is the third person to test positive for COVID-19 among those who traveled to India for medical reasons under state sponsorship. The government medical insurance company, Aasandha said all three patients are doing well.
