The Maldives on Wednesday registered two COVID-19 deaths.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 50-year old Indian national receiving treatment for COVID-19 at Dharumavantha Hospital passed away at 8:44 pm on Wednesday night .An 85 year old local woman passed away earlier the same day at 1:13 pm at the same healthcare facility. The country's toll is now at 73.
While 122 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized, three patients are admitted at Dharumavantha Hospital's ICU. The Maldives recorded 464 positive cases, its highest single-day tally so far, over the past 24 hours. The country's tally is now at 29,052.
