The monitoring status imposed on Hithadhoo island of southernmost Addu city has been lifted after 24 hours.
Hithadhoo was put on the Health Protection Agency, HPA’s monitoring status after a positive case of COVID-19 was detected from the island.
Addu City Council said HPA has informed that the restrictions imposed on the island has now been lifted, and entry and exit from Hithadhoo can be resumed. All contacts of positive cases have been identified and tested, said the council.
Three cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Addu city thus far.
