President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Saturday visited Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)’s Girifushi Training Center to observe the ongoing activities of MNDF to mark 'Range Day 2020'.
Minister of Defense, Mariya Ahmed Didi, and Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal accompanied the President during his visit to Girifushi Island, where he was greeted upon arrival by Chief of Defense, Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, and other Senior MNDF Officials.
MNDF officials briefed President Solih on the added safety measures to be enforced at Girifushi Training Center, which was reopened on Saturday. The President also inspected the weapons and fire targets used in the shooting range.
'Range Day' is an annual event held by the MNDF.
