Maldives’ flag carrier, Maldivian has stated that three scheduled flights will operate to Hoarafushi Airport in Haa Alif atoll every week.
Hoarafushi Airport, which was developed with a budget of approximately MVR 198 millon, was inaugurated by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Thursday.
According to Maldivian, commercial operation to the airport will begin on November 26th. The airfare will be at the same rate as that of flights between Male’ and Hanimaadhoo.
Hoarafushi Airport has a 1.2 kilometer runway and 8,635 square metre apron as well as a taxiway. It also has service roads, parking areas and a fire access road.
