Monitoring status lifted from Dhevvadhoo island after one month

The Health Protection Agency (HPA)’s monitoring status has been lifted from Dhevvadhoo island after a month.

Dhevvadhoo island was put under HPA’s monitoring status after COVID-19 cases were identified on the island on December 24, 2020. Cases linked to the Dhevvadhoo cluster were identified in several islands, including Dhaandhoo, L. Fonadhoo, Hulhumale’ and Ga. Villingili. Over 85 cases have been linked to the Dhevvadhoo cluster thus far.

The most recent positive cases were identified in Dhevvadhoo over the past weekend.
