VP Faisal Naseem hospitalised

Maldives’ Vice President Faisal Naseem has been hospitalised due to a high fever.

According to the President’s Office, the VP was hospitalised on Tuesday. He is receiving treatment at the main government hospital, Dharumavantha Hospital.

Spokesperson for the President’s Office, Mabrook Azeez said the Vice President has been tested for COVID-19 and that his results came back negative. VP Faisal is in stable condition, said Mabrook.

The Vice President received the initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on February 9th.
