Restrictions in Fuvahmulah extended by a week

The restrictions imposed on Fuvahmulah City due to COVID-19 have been extended for a further seven days.

A directive signed and issued by the Director General of Public Health, Maimoona Aboobakuru said the measures imposed on the island on February 12th have been extended by an additional week.

This includes a curfew and vehicle ban between 2000hrs and 0400 hrs, a ban on parties, events and other gatherings, and visiting households.

Gatherings of more than three people in public spaces remain prohibited, and gyms, salons and hairdressers are to remain closed. Sports and exercise activities, in-class lectures for school, college and university students, and dine-in services at hotels, cafes and restaurants also remain prohibited.
