Fuvahmulah under HPA monitoring again

Fuvahmulah City has been placed under the Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s monitoring status once again.

This is the third time HPA's monitoring mechanisms have been activated in Fuvahmulah this year. The city was most recently closed in May and reopened three months later on August 5 although COVID-19 cases were still active on the island at that time. According to HPA, the island has been put under monitoring once again after the number of cases on the island crossed 200.

19 other islands are under HPA monitoring in addition to Fuvahmulah. They are R. Dhuvaafaru, Sh. Feevah, K. Kaashidhoo, Ha. Thakandhoo, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, Aa. Himandhoo, HDh. Makunudhoo, B. Eydhafushi, B. Kamadhoo, ADh. Hangyameedhoo, HDh. Nadella, Ha. Ihavandhoo, GDh. Thinadhoo, ADh. Dhangethi, Ga. Maamendhoo, Ga. Kanduhulhudhoo and M. Maduvvary.
