The Maldives registered an additional COVID-19 death on Wednesday.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 67 year old male brought to government hospital, IGMH’s Emergency Room in an unresponsive state was declared dead at 06:00 am on Wednesday morning.
This is the 63rd COVID-19 death in the Maldives.
While over 20,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Maldives, the number of cases have been surging over the past few weeks. 2,605 cases are active at the moment.
