The daily number of COVID-19 cases have fallen below 100 for the first time in recent weeks.
The Maldives recorded 98 positive cases over the past 24 hours, out of which 78 people tested positive in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining 20 cases were identified in the atolls. A total of 4,318 samples were tested in that duration.
2,613 COVID-19 cases are currently active in the Maldives. 161 people are being treated in the hospital, while three are in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The Maldives has recorded 64 COVID-19 deaths to date.
