Emirates has announced its decision to increase the number of flights the airline operates to the Maldives.
According to Emirates, 28 weekly flights will be operated to the Maldives from March 28 onwards until end of May. EK652 flights will be used for the purpose. The flight will depart from Dubai at 9:45 am local time, and will depart from the Maldives at 04:30pm local time.
Emirates said the increase in frequency of flights will greatly benefit the tourism industry and that it would help boost the Maldives’ economy. In addition to increasing the number of flights, the aircraft will be upgraded to Boeing-777-300 ER wide-bodied aircraft from April 18, said the airline.
The most number of tourists travel to the Maldives via Emirates. The airline connects Maldives to 90 different destinations, which includes the Maldives’ tourism market’s top-20 European destinations.
