Maldives Tourism Ministry has stated that the most number of flights were operated to the Indian Ocean archipelago this year by Emirates Airline.
Statistics publicized by the ministry show 980 flights were operated to the Maldives by Emirates thus far this year. 85,538 travelers have arrived in the Maldives via the airline.
Qatar Airways follows behind with 748 flights and 64,256 travelers arriving via the airline. According to the figures, the third-most number of flights were operated by Aeroflot Airline, which carried 64,256 tourists.
18 airlines currently fly to the Maldives. 433,608 tourists have arrived in the Maldives this year until now.
