Number of active cases in the atolls at 471

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the atolls have increased to 471. The number of active cases in the atolls have remained relatively low until recently.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s statistics, positive cases are active in 54 islands across Maldives. The most number of cases are active in K. Huraa, where 96 cases are active. 71 people have tested positive from Felivaru while 47 cases have been recorded in Dhiffushi.

Additionally, 30 cases are active in Naifaru while 22 people have the virus in Kudahuvadhoo. A further 16 cases are active in N. Nolhivaranfalhu and seven in Kulhudhuffushi as well as six more cases in Baarah.

The Maldives recorded 147 positive cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive cases to 23,671. Out of the new cases, 69 cases were recorded in the atolls.
