Spain's Iberia announces direct flights to the Maldives

Spain's national airline Iberia has announced direct flights to the Maldives.

Iberia Airline said the flights will fly to the Maldives this summer from July this year until August. Two weekly flights will operate to the Maldives, the airline said. Iberia’s Executive Chairman Javier Sánchez-Prieto said the commencement of flights will open the market to tourists and increase the number of travelers. Spain is one of the markets from which a large number of tourists visit the Maldives.

According to statistics released by the Tourism Ministry, 29 airlines currently operate to the Maldives.
