COVID-19: Three deaths over the past 24 hours

The Maldives has reported three COVID-19 deaths thus far on Monday,

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 75 year old Maldivian female admitted at main government hospital IGMH's ER was declared dead at 04:00 am early Monday. An 85-year old Maldivian male taken to B Eydhafushi Atoll Hospital was later declared dead at 08:30 am, and a 74-year old Maldivian male in K. Maafushi passed away at 09:45 am. The country's COVID-19 toll is now at 87.

The Maldives has recorded 35,815 COVID-19 cases thus far. While the archipelago is battling a third wave of infections, the daily number of case keeps increasing day on day. 1,091 cases were recorded over the past 24 hours.
