Weekly stats: 288 COVID-19 cases, no deaths

Weekly statistics released by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) show the Maldives recorded 288 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past month.

The figures for dates between April 17 and 23 show 205 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the atolls and 37 cases in the capital city, Male'.

The most number of cases were recorded in the atolls on April 19, with 84 positive cases. Male' City also recorded its highest figure for the week on the same date, with 12 new cases.

No COVID-19 deaths were recorded last week.

The Maldives has recorded 179,171 positive cases and 298 deaths to date. Last month, 4,225 positive cases were recorded across the Maldives, out of which 3,375 cases were from the atolls. Male' City saw 394 cases in March.
