The Maldives on Sunday recorded an additional COVID-19 death.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 90-year-old local man with COVID-19 passed away on Sunday while in isolation. This is the 291st COVID-19 death in the Maldives.
The most recent statistics from HPA show 805 new cases f COVID-19 were identified in the Maldives over the past 24 hours. This includes 90 cases in the capital, 637 cases in inhabited islands, and 52 cases in operational resorts. The Maldives tally is currently at 162,974.
