Maldives has won the World Championship of Beaches organized by Kiwi.com.
Veligandu Island Resort and Spa of Maldives competed against Anse Cocos of Seychelles in the final showdown of the championship. The Maldives reached the finals after beating famous beaches of countries such as Greece and Portugal. In the final vote taken online, the Maldives won 51 percent of the popular vote while Seychelles won 49 percent of the votes.
