Plane makes emergency landing after window shatters mid-flight

A Qatar Airways flight made an emergency landing at Velana International Airport (VIA) on Friday night after a window shattered mid-flight.

The flight had departed from VIA to travel to Qatar at 7:45 pm. The window shattered around 40 minutes from the lift-off at an altitude of 40,000 feet. It has been reported that the window shattered on the left side of the cockpit. No persons were injured in the incident.

No statements have been made regarding the incident by Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
