28 additional COVID-19 cases have been recorded in southernmost Addu City.
The COVID-19 situation in Addu City has been detoriorating over the past weeks, and several restrictions have been implemented to stop the spread of the virus.
Addu Equatorial Hospital Friday said 28 cases were recorded over the past 24 hours, increasing the atoll's tally to 980. While 250 cases are active at this time, 727 recoveries have been recorded. Four patients are currently hospitalized.
Out of the 250 active cases, 70 cases are in Hithadhoo while 125 cases are from Maradhoo. 9 cases are active in Maradhoo-Feydhoo while 20 cases are active in Feydhoo. 22 cases are also active in Meedhoo, and three in Hulhudhoo. One case is active in Gan island.
