A new COVID-19 death has been recorded in Addu City.
An official from Addu Equatorial Hospital in Hithadhoo said an 83-year-old local female who was receiving treatment at Addu Covid Facility passed away at 2:15 am early Thursday.
While two deaths were recorded in Addu earlier on Tuesday, this is the 5th COVID-19 death in Addu City this month, and the 243rd death in the Maldives. A total of 12 COVID-1 deaths have been recorded in the Maldives this month.
