The Maldives on Friday recorded a new COVID-19 death.
According to Addu Equatorial Hospital in southernmost Addu City, an 87-year-old local female receiving treatment at Addu Covid Management Facility passed away at 11:46 am. This is the 245th death in the Maldives and the 10th in Addu City.
The Maldives has recorded 88,386 positive cases to date. Twenty-seven patients are currently hospitalized.
