CSC advises against interrupting gov't services

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has called on civil servants not to interrupt the services provided by government offices.

Civil servants have been staging protests demanding to increase their salaries. The Civil Servant Association has warned that they would continue protesting by stopping work.

A statement issued by CSC on Monday said the commission wishes to closely work with civil servants, protect their rights and listen to their requests. The commission said anonymous groups have been misusing the commission's logo on various social media platforms, claiming to work to assure the rights of civil servants. The statement further said the Civil Servant Association is not a registered organization, and urged civil servants against participating in the organization's activities.

'The Civil Service Commission's doors are always open to listen to complaints by civil servants. While this is the case, we advise civil servants not to interrupt the services provided by government organizations in exercising their rights assured by the constitution,' the statement read.
