Air Asia to resume operation to Maldives next week

Budget airline Air Asia will be resuming operation to the Maldives after a two-year hiatus.

The airline said it would begin operation between Bangkok, Thailand, and the Maldives from December 22 onward.

Two weekly flights will be held between Thailand's Don Mueang International Airport and Velana International Airport. The flights will be held every Wednesday and Saturday.

While the airline is preparing to resume flights to the Maldives, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) recently conducted a session to provide information on the COVID-19 measures in the Maldives.

Air Asia is a popular airline among travelers staying at medium-class resorts and guest houses.
