Test flight lands at Madivaru Airport

The first test flight successfully landed at Madivaru Airport on Saturday morning.

The development of Madivaru Airport and a city hotel was contracted to Kureddhoo Holdings, a subsidiary of Crown and Champa company, in May 2018. The airport construction was completed by China's Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUSG).

While the airport development has reached completion, the test flight was conducted by the national airline Maldivian. The flight, which carried a technical team surveying the airport work, landed at the airport at 9:20 am. Managing Director of the company and the Chairman of Champa Brothers Mohamed 'Ucchu' Moosa, Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof, some parliament members, and top government officials were present at the airport to welcome the test flight.
