Additional COVID-19 death in Addu City, toll at 263

The Maldives on Tuesday recorded a new COVID-19 death.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), an 82-year-old local male admitted at the Addu Covid Management Facility passed away early morning at 2:30 am. This is the 263rd COVID-19 death in the Maldives.

242 people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours, increasing the country's tally to 96,294. Out of these, 97 people are from Greater Male' Region, making Monday the day on which most positive cases were recorded in the capital in the past weeks.
