President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Monday appointed Abdulla Falah Shareef as the Deputy Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
Abdulla Falah Shareef earlier served as the President of the Fuvahmulah Atoll Council and later as the Mayor of Fuvahmulah City.
Falaah contested in the main-ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)'s primary to re-run as Fuvahmulah Mayor in the most recent Local Council Election. However, he did not succeed in winning the primary.
