Five key agreements will be signed between Turkey and the Maldives during Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu's ongoing visit to the Maldives.
The Turkish Foreign Minister arrived in the Maldives for a two-day visit on January 28 on the invitation of Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid.
On Sunday, Minister Çavuşoğlu will pay a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Speaker of the People's Majlis, President Mohamed Nasheed. Minister Çavuşoğlu will also hold official talks with his counterpart Minister Shahid and sign five key agreements between Maldives and Maldives. These include agreements relating to the business sector, culture and heritage, environment, farming and agriculture, and foreign service sector.
The Foreign Minister's visit to the Maldives is the first-ever official visit to the Maldives by a Turkish Foreign Minister.
