Agreement signed to construct mosque in Manadhoo

An agreement has been signed between the Islamic Ministry and Afami Maldives Pvt Ltd to construct a mosque in N. Manadhoo.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the contractor by the company's Managing Director, Ameen Mohamed, and Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali.

The value of the project is MVR 15.7 million. The mosque will have the capacity to accommodate 700 people and will have a women's wing. The mosque's air conditioning system will be powered by renewable energy sources. Additionally, the mosque will have toilets, an ablution area, storerooms, and a minaret.

An additional mosque is being constructed in Manadhoo due to the lack of adequate space at the island's current mosque. The project is expected to be completed within 365 days.
